Märchenstunde

Bio

Born and raised in Berlin in 1988, Amber filled blank sheets of paper with her stories in words and pictures while she was in kindergarten and school. Initially influenced by classics such as the books by Michael Ende and Astrid Lindgren, comics from Japanese pop culture followed in later years.

With the miracle of the Internet, she found like-minded people in the early 2000s and published the first stories and pictures about various series (fan work) on forum sites. Amber realised how nice it is when you can not only live out your fantasy, but also share it with other people.

While Amber's path (after graduating from high school) first led to a pedagogical degree and then to the health sector, in recent years she has been working part-time as an exhibitor of self-printed comics and pictures at conventions, offered watercolor workshops and worked as an illustrator and designer for various customers.

To this day, her fingers have continued to move across the keyboard no less.

Since NaNoWriMo 2015, she has created a few short stories in the New Adult and Coming of Age genre, but it wasn't until 2023 that she dared to publish one: "Head, Heart and Mouth".

Her debut novel “Because we don’t want to leave yet” was published on November 22, 2024.
